What do you mean by middle? Blindly planting a div without regard to other html tags could completely break the layout. The best you could hope for would be to place a module when editing an article using one of the available syntaxes, such as {loadmoduleid z}. You could also use a plugin to replace a similar placeholder with whatever you want.
